SSG Specialist, Carol Pilkington, CSA and Spiritual Counselor will start us off with a discussion about Self-Advocacy, its many forms and how we can be empowered speak up for ourselves. Many of us are of an age where we remember that slogan song back in the early 70's for Virginia Slims Cigarettes, "You've Come a Long Way Baby" and how it encouraged women to stand up for their Individuality. Self-Advocacy can be in the areas such as our medical circumstances to how we stand up for ourselves in relationships. SSG Specialist, Sara Shai, Author and Artist will also share how she has successfully advocated for herself.
